I completed my massage training in Anchorage Alaska in 2000, this was an entry level Swedish based massage education. I went on to acquire specialized training in Pre- & Perinatal Massage and acquired certification in February 2001. I provided pregnancy, labor and postpartum massage and acupressure to clients in Anchorage Alaska and the surrounding communities from February 2001 - May 2009. I obtained national certification in massage and bodywork in June 2001 and have maintained certification since that time. I added infant massage education to my resume in 2002 and have enjoyed teaching parents, siblings and grandparents how to massage their infants and children!
I acquired training in multiple levels of Jin Shin Do® acupressure throughout my years in bodywork. My acupressure training began with Basic JSD Acupressure, then continued on to include Intermediate level JSD, Advanced JSD, Facial JSD and Body-Mind Processing Skills.
In the summer of 2010, I successfully passed my national certification in reflexology exam and in May 2011 I attended an introduction to cranio-sacral course here in Washington state. Most recently, in October 2011, I completed the first of two levels of training in cranio-sacral reflexology with the Cranio-Sacral Reflexology Institute.
